A Moment To Remember

A Moment To Remember

I watched this movie with my boyfriend last weekend, and oh boy, I couldn’t help but cry to my heart’s content. Though I don’t know any personal casualties of Alzheimer’s disease, the thought of gradually losingΒ  all wonderful memories is really a terrifying one, much more, in an instant. I now fear MENTAL death over the physical death. I don’t want to reach a point wherein I won’t recognize my family and loved ones anymore… I’d love to cherish colorful memories forever, I’d love to express what I feel and treasure every relationship. I won’t be able to accept everything until I’m lifeless.

I started crying from the scene that features Su Jin and the doctor discussing her serious problem up to the ending of the movie. Mind you, it’s 2 and half hours long and I have no idea how much tears I’ve cried! My boyfriend was comforting me then as if he’s the cause of my pain and sorrow. *sigh*

And I cried even more when Su Jin wrote Chul Soo a letter (click the image to enlarge):

A Moment To Remember Letter

Momentary love...

Though this Korean movie was officially released on November 2004, I believe there are few people who haven’t viewed this one yet, worst, who’s not aware that such interesting and touching movie exists and that’s the reason why I’ve got no more spoiler here. For me, “A Moment To Remember” is like “My Sassy Girl” and “The Notebook” in one, so if you’re up for spice and drama you must give this a shot!

Booster Box and Flowers

Booster Box and Flowers

As I arrived from my SG and KL tour, I felt his warmest welcome through flowers, hugs and kisses. πŸ™‚

Now that it’s our third anniversary, I really feel lucky to have him and more kilig as I recall our happy and wonderful moments together. No dates for today. No tulips. No phonecalls. Just text messages and emails. We’ll celebrate next week. Though, it’s not actually necessary for we are always living our BF-GF life as if it’s our anniversary. πŸ™‚ (One of the secrets of healthy relationship!)

What’s with the image?
Magic: The Gathering Booster Box (with Sol and red roses)! MTG – our common interest. Now, this is something relevant to the blog theme – Pink & Magic Convergence Zone. Hehe. I miss playing! Haven’t joined any other tourneys this year except for Regionals and 2 Pre-releases. *sigh*

Just realized that we had celebrated it in advance already. πŸ™‚ Hmmm. I’m getting forgetful! Hang over of “A Moment to Remember”? Oh yeah, that super touching Korean movie! I’ll blog about it later…

I Am Not Alone…

Soul searching...

In solitude I gather my self ….
In the crowd I deny myself …
With you I share myself …
Here, I’m just being true to myself…

and my lips are retracing my old own words…

His eyes are my first sunshine- the brightest ever
His kiss is my first breath- so warm and tender
In his embrace I feel the world
In his presence I regain strength
In his shoulder I rest in comfort
In his heart I find a shelter
Nothing else do I wish for
Because life with him is like living forever.

Telling the Truth

I'm just... telling the truth!

Just when I thought everything has been settled after being informed that all of SEA-MARJ’s job postings have been updated, here goes a threatening comment. Oh, I know why it’s “Anonymous”! Taking legal action against me when he/she can’t even speak nor write in proper English.

Let me quote the comments:

Good day! I hope it will still be a good day for you Ms. Liezel Ocampo upon reading this comment! We are the legal counsel of SEAMARJ and I would like to caught your attention that the case Libel against you is now being arrange by our company. You will received a summon letter kindly wait for it. Can you accept and post this comment so that all people commenting on your blog might be aware that ion this world being judgemental without further basis is not a healthy attitude!

And the second one:

Just wait for the legal actions that is filed against you Ms. LiezelOcampo. As early as now find a good lawyer that can defend you. Good Luck!. Expect a demand letter coming from SEAMARJ!

And here’s my reply:

Dear Mr./Ms. Anonymous,
Thank you for your comment. Even if I have doubts that you are the legal counsel of SEA-MARJ (the grammatical errors really caught my attention) I still posted this comment. I’m letting the world know that a libel case can be filed against someone who’s telling the truth. πŸ™‚

What are your judgments? If you wish to know whether I am guilty or not, find time to read the original post and other people’s testimonials here. I even updated the post after receiving an email from Jobstreet. Wanna see? Click here.

Seriously, I was “nosebleed” after reading their comments. But hey, it made my day.

Reconnecting With Highschool Friends

Keep in touch!

I’m not an FB fan, but I hate the MAJOR role it plays in my life. >_<” – that’s one of my FB shoutouts to exaggerate its importance in the modern world. I signed up with Facebook this year just for the heck of having an account. I keep on telling people that they can always update me via YM or Friendster but they won’t stop sending me invites to join this group and like that one. I’ve got no plans of signing up until one time, I realized its significance to a blogger like me. I can easily share my thoughts and link it to my blog. I can spread the word in an instant. I can win prizes by simply posting comments. And best of all, I can reconnect to old friends and gain new ones. Keeping in touch is no longer an issue and I am really happy to be connected to my highschool and college friends again. Our walls become flooded with funny stories and other highschool life experiences. Lovelife, friendship, and exams are being reminisced from time to time. Haha. Can’t forget those elective classes that requires overnight and never-ending photocopies of reports. The xerox machine just like 108r00727 and Win95 PC were our bestfriends to complete our projects and get A+!

Shopping Around

Tuesday, 3 August, 2010

I love hitting the bargain stalls and scoring quality and cute items. Even when at the shopping malls, the big 50-70% discount banners always catch my attention. Just recently, I bought a pair of Happy Feet shoes in hot pink. I wanted the purple one as well but they are of the same design so I did not go for it. If I am to buy more than one, I like them to be of different styles. I’ve been spending a lot lately. Some are just brought about by my own impulsiveness but I am still happy with what I’ve got. Right now, I’m eyeing a DSLR camera. Not sure if I’ll go for Nikon D5000 or D3000 because this would be my first SLR if ever. Yeah, I’m interested in photography. My friend just came from Singapore and she was able to drop by at one of the wholesale electronics sales there. I’m hoping that I can also grab cool stuff this August. πŸ™‚
