Direct-selling Business

Sunday, 22 May, 2011

My network’s growing rapidly! Okay, this is not about networking but having more people signed up for Human Nature membership under me is really a big bonus. Advertising through the word of mouth. My support for Gawad Kalinga is not only about building homes but also helping the Philippine farmers by promoting our very own organic skin care products.

It’s a business and charity in one. You earn by selling the best and affordable products while a certain portion of sale is given to the beneficiary. Last December 2010, 100% of all profit earned by Human Nature from the sales of Citronella Bug Spray was donated to the farmers’ cooperative to build new extractors, renovate schools and provide healthcare to the farming families in Bicol.

The current campaign is “CommPassion” – building dream for a passion fruit farming community. 100% of all profit earned from the sale of Passion Fruit Hydrating Mineral Lipstick will fund the development of a processing facility (@ Gawad Kalinga Village Pueblo Antonio in Catigan, Davao del Sur) for passion fruit seed oil. Isn’t it nice to earn and help at the same time?

I’ve been promoting Human Nature products for months and had joined two successful bazaar events already. The first one is at Tiendesitas, second is at Edsa Central Pavilion Mall. My sister and my upline helped me all through out. We retail skin care products and make ups. We also process on-site member registration. For more information on how to become a Human Nature dealer, click here – Human Nature (Earn, Help & Prosper)

Requirements can also be sent through email. Use a good scanning software to preserve the quality of your photos for your ID.

This post was inspired my ex-workmate who’ll be joining GK one more time. I’ve joined GK (Gawad Kalinga) Home-Building project before and I found it as a life-changing experience. Well, I’m into outreach activities ever since, but being with less fortunate kids and families, I keep being reminded that I’m so lucky with what I have and where I am.

Shameless plug here, Sunflower Beauty Oil is the best-selling Human Nature product so far but because this is Pinkville, I won’t be posting its picture here. Instead, I’m grabbing the PINK Kid’s Strawberry Sanitizer from Impulsive Buyer (for the sake of having a featured image for LinkWithIn).

The sweetness of pink you can't resist!

Wedding Anniversaries

Friday, 29 October, 2010

My parents have been married for 26 years and I am a living witness of their happy and successful relationship. I’m lucky to be their eldest daughter. Having five siblings and being born to a middle-class family is such a wonderful blessing from above. Why not, our parents only think of our future by loving us selflessly and providing our needs. And I wonder, do they still have time to celebrate on their own? My father is a farmer, my mother is a vegetable vendor. She sells what we harvest from the field. During busy days, you can find them weeding and fertilizing the crops. They always work hard. Together.

I admire my parents so much. They are not motivated by the material things around them. They are inspired by their kids’ achievements. They speak the language of love in a different way. I can’t remember our gifts to them when they celebrated their silver wedding anniversary last year. It’s not a grand celebration anyway, just the family members feasting on home-made dishes. The simplicity of our life is incomparable to others.

How about the others? What are the sources of their happiness? I am intrigued by the life of rich and famous people. How does an elite celebrate his or her birthday, graduation day, or the tenth wedding anniversary? I guess it’s always grand and splendid. But I have doubts if it can make them truly happy. Real accomplishment can’t be seen on your possessions but on your relationships.

When I get married, I want it to last forever. I want to look forward to every anniversary and celebrate it with simplicity just like what my parents are doing. My husband need not say “I love you” through a bouquet of roses, I’d rather feel it through hugs and kisses.

red sweet roses

Lovely roses, as sweet as you!

Gift-giving during special occasion is actually a good practice though the success of celebration does not solely depends on it. When shopping for wedding anniversary gifts by year, something that symbolizes the couple, what they’ve been through and what they really like can be a perfect gift. After all, it’s the thought that counts. So go ahead and celebrate your tenth wedding anniversary in any way you like!

Day 24: Dearest Mom And Dad

Sunday, 26 September, 2010

I’m confused whether or not this is the right time to confess… I’ve been keeping a lot of things from my parents. If I am to write them a letter… it will be on a piece of paper and in the native language. And then I’ll give it to them personally. For now, let me post what my heart tells me…

Happy Family_Mom_Dad

The joys of parents are secret, and so are their griefs and fears.

Mom,
I thank you so much for all the love and care you’ve showered us since we’re born until now. Thanks for preparing my meal three times a day. Thanks for doing the laundry instead of me doing it. Thanks for fixing our bed early in the morning. Thanks for buying us our school needs. Thank you for being the best mother in every sense of the word.

I just hope you can be stronger. I love the faith I see in you. Be more positive, always!

Dad,
Thanks for being my first teacher. Even if other people always say that I inherited my intelligence from your mom, I believe that it’s your genes that made me this smart. Thanks for working hard for my tuition fees and other school projects. Thanks for trusting me that much and always praying for my success. I am lucky you’re not that strict. Even if my love for you and mom are equal, I still prefer the way you raise and discipline us. Thanks for all the support when I made the toughest decision in my life.

To both of you, thank you for being proud of me… I am sorry that I can’t be with you all the time. I’ll be always here for you. Again, my never-ending thank you. Love you so much.

*sniff*
I’m missing them real bad… 🙁
Good thing I’ll be visiting my hometown this weekend with my sister. Time to be with them again!

Day 18: Moving Forward

Monday, 20 September, 2010

I have talked about my short term goals for this month. This time, let’s be more specific about the long term ones. Who knows, someone out there can help me realize them… 🙂

Anime_Carefree

Embracing life...

• Own a house and a car (and of course to learn how to drive that car!)
• Put up a restaurant business or cake house/bread shop.
• Have my own online business, most likely SEO firm!
• Get married and live happily ever after. So excited to have my own happy family!
• Travel around the world, 3 international tour per year will do.
• Extend help to other people especially the needy, children and elders. I want to touch more lives…

Hmmm… that’s all I can think of right now. 🙂

I can feel that… all of these dreams, are just few steps away from reality…
Hold my hand and walk with me, will you?

I think I have no choice but to go through our old and dusty photo albums… And I have to scan my baby picture! Tsk!

Day 14: My Beloved Family

Friday, 17 September, 2010

Awww, all of my family pics are not stored in digital devices. LOL. They’re on the traditional photo albums at home but I won’t scan them either. I’ll just take new ones using my DSLR!

For now, let me share you a picture of my kids who I also treat as my family:

Happy Family!

Note: It’s not even a complete Stuffed Toy Family picture… 🙁 Sorry.

Day 09: Bragging Rights

Sunday, 12 September, 2010

Oh, haven’t noticed that there’s a separate topic about this one in the 30-day challenge! I have already blabbed about in on Day 08: From Good To Great!

Proud Elf

Look, I'm so proud and happy!

Anyway, let me think of some more…

• I have shown how much I love my sister by worrying about her and checking her condition from time to time. I almost skipped playing magic because of her but thanks to our landlady, she accompanied her to the dentist. She must undergo root canal surgery. I assured her that it will be alright and I’ll cover all the expenses. I’m proud of myself for being the BEST SISTER!

• I was able to voice out my sentiments and leave intelligent remarks along with it. I’m not proud of being b!tchy but I’m so happy for being me…

• I graduated cumlaude from Batangas State University. And why am I bragging about this just now? Because people here knew it now because I just told them after solving a simple mathematical equation. I love numbers. And I really love their reaction, too. 🙂

• I still know how to play Magic: The Gathering even if I lack practice and haven’t joined any tournament for the past few months. (Well, almost a year!) We also got two Grave Titan from four booster packs! I’m so lucky and that’s something to be thankful and happy about!

• I just used my debit card for the first time. Haha. It means a lot to me because I always pay with cash. I don’t have credit cards and I don’t wanna have any. And this debit card of mine holds my riches. Yup, lots of money. Lol.

• We just had a meeting and I’ll be joining the outreach event again. Thanks God for blessing me with a kind heart.

• I’ve never missed my period. Lol. That’s the best and funniest part!
