Be Comfortable In Your Own Skin!

Thursday, 14 October, 2010

I wonder who’s more insecure, the person who’s not gaining weight or the one who’s trying hard to lose some, both to no success.

Just a question, though.

I’m not gaining weight but I am not insecure. FYI. (Can few pounds make my boobs any bigger? LOL. Even so, I’m still happy with my hips and butt physique for I don’t have to worry about diet pill that works.)

Perfect fit!

I’m enjoying the rewards and reaping the benefits of being forever slim. For one, my clothes that I’ve bought years ago still fit me well. I never outgrow the S (sometimes XS) size. So wardrobe-wise, I’ve got the perfect figure. Second, I can move around freely, quick and nimble to be exact. Next, I can eat and drink a lot without worrying about my weight! Yippee! I don’t have to be conscious about my calorie intake! Starbucks frappes or Krispy Creme doughnuts won’t kill me. I’ve got few more stuff to tell but I’ll just leave them to your imagination. Haha. Don’t freak out. Discussing them publicly would be not-so-me!

There are so many things to be thankful and proud about! Be comfortable in your own skin! 🙂

Make Up and Moisturizers

Wednesday, 29 September, 2010

I’m not fond of make up and have no plans of taking it seriously. Even if it is said to be good in enhancing beauty and highlighting your face, I don’t think I’ll achieve that effect if I’ll be the one to apply it on me. Haha. My so-called kikay kit does not contain the usual girl stuff. I’m contented with mascara, face powder and lip gloss.

Fashion Girl

Keep smiling!

I admire some makeup models though. They look like lovely dolls with pretty eyes and pouty lips! What’s their skin regimen to keep its youthful glow even off-cam and without make up? I wonder if their face moisturizers have something to do with it.

Day 09: Bragging Rights

Sunday, 12 September, 2010

Oh, haven’t noticed that there’s a separate topic about this one in the 30-day challenge! I have already blabbed about in on Day 08: From Good To Great!

Proud Elf

Look, I'm so proud and happy!

Anyway, let me think of some more…

• I have shown how much I love my sister by worrying about her and checking her condition from time to time. I almost skipped playing magic because of her but thanks to our landlady, she accompanied her to the dentist. She must undergo root canal surgery. I assured her that it will be alright and I’ll cover all the expenses. I’m proud of myself for being the BEST SISTER!

• I was able to voice out my sentiments and leave intelligent remarks along with it. I’m not proud of being b!tchy but I’m so happy for being me…

• I graduated cumlaude from Batangas State University. And why am I bragging about this just now? Because people here knew it now because I just told them after solving a simple mathematical equation. I love numbers. And I really love their reaction, too. 🙂

• I still know how to play Magic: The Gathering even if I lack practice and haven’t joined any tournament for the past few months. (Well, almost a year!) We also got two Grave Titan from four booster packs! I’m so lucky and that’s something to be thankful and happy about!

• I just used my debit card for the first time. Haha. It means a lot to me because I always pay with cash. I don’t have credit cards and I don’t wanna have any. And this debit card of mine holds my riches. Yup, lots of money. Lol.

• We just had a meeting and I’ll be joining the outreach event again. Thanks God for blessing me with a kind heart.

• I’ve never missed my period. Lol. That’s the best and funniest part!

A Moment To Remember (Korean Movie)

A Moment To Remember

A Moment To Remember

I watched this movie with my boyfriend last weekend, and oh boy, I couldn’t help but cry to my heart’s content. Though I don’t know any personal casualties of Alzheimer’s disease, the thought of gradually losing  all wonderful memories is really a terrifying one, much more, in an instant. I now fear MENTAL death over the physical death. I don’t want to reach a point wherein I won’t recognize my family and loved ones anymore… I’d love to cherish colorful memories forever, I’d love to express what I feel and treasure every relationship. I won’t be able to accept everything until I’m lifeless.

I started crying from the scene that features Su Jin and the doctor discussing her serious problem up to the ending of the movie. Mind you, it’s 2 and half hours long and I have no idea how much tears I’ve cried! My boyfriend was comforting me then as if he’s the cause of my pain and sorrow. *sigh*

And I cried even more when Su Jin wrote Chul Soo a letter (click the image to enlarge):

A Moment To Remember Letter

Momentary love...

Though this Korean movie was officially released on November 2004, I believe there are few people who haven’t viewed this one yet, worst, who’s not aware that such interesting and touching movie exists and that’s the reason why I’ve got no more spoiler here. For me, “A Moment To Remember” is like “My Sassy Girl” and “The Notebook” in one, so if you’re up for spice and drama you must give this a shot!

MTG and Fever: The Week That Was

Wednesday, 16 June, 2010

Been sick after the Grand Prix 2010.
Updates to follow. 🙁

Finally, I’m alive and kicking again! So before the title becomes THE WEEKS THAT WERE or WHATEVER let me recount the good and bad things that happened to me during the weekend. It may also include happenings from past few weeks that I was not able to talk about here. Sorry, I’ve got the luxury of time now so allow me to blab.

First, Spread the W.O.R.D has been nominated as one of the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2010! Thanks to Arwin of Winziph for considering my blog influential! I think so. Haha. If we think alike, then nominate me, too. *wink*

My sister is also here in Metro Manila with me. She’s currently looking for HRM-related jobs so if you know any, I will greatly appreciate any helpful information from you. Much better if you can refer her to hotels or known restos. Thanks in advance!

I’m so excited to blog errr brag about my Grand Prix 2010 experience! Yay. It was really awesome and worth-remembering. Though I was not able to let rk post sign my MTG cards with his artwork, I am still satisfied with the photos I’ve got and with the things I have learned from experience.

Yippee! Looking forward to more MTG tourneys! For more MTG tournament report, you may visit my MTG blog. You can also find my Grand Prix 2010 – Manila experience there. See yah!

And oh, as for the fever I guess it’s the after effect of walking under the rain at Mall of Asia during the pre-registration. Grrr. It’s so difficult to hail a taxi, mind you. It’s either taken or they don’t want to drive me to my place. And one even asked how much I am willing to pay. I answered flatly, “Meter.” as I pointed to the cab’s meter. Duh. I hate greedy people. Could they stop taking advantage of their fellow countrymen?! Errr, of other people. Even if it’s a day before the Independence Day, I don’t want to be bias to non-Filipinos. *wink*

So yeah, I was bed-ridden with fever and sorethroat. The same diagnosis of my doctor during checkup. With that, I was not able to report to work and update my blogs. Sad. *sigh* I also believe that I have missed a lot of earning opportunities during those times. I can make it up anyway.

I would like to thank all of my friends who wished me well during those times of sickness. Believe me, your prayers and sweetness restore me to health. Hehe. Thanks to all of my online buddies as well for leaving “get-well-soon” messages as blog comments, for writing lovely notes on my FB wall, for texting and emailing me and most of all, for treating me really well and considering me as your friend. Ooops, sorry. This is not a speech. It just so happened that I type faster than I think so whether I realized that I am becoming redundant or not, I will keep blabbing. Haha.

Alright! That would be it for the meantime. Cheers!

Let’s Call It A Day!

Friday, 30 April, 2010

TGIF. Since I am on a nightshift, I can’t make the most out of my Friday nights. I missed hanging out with friends, Friday Night Magic, dates with boyfriend and team gimik. You, how do you spend your Fridays?

This is a very fulfilling day!

Successfull Annual Physical Examination

No result yet, but so far so good. This made me realize that I am sooooo underweight. Argh. 5’2″ height, 40 kg. Guess my BMI! The doctor gave me a prescription. Well, just magic capsules to enhance my appetite. *raised brows* (I love to eat, but there are times that I’d rather sleep than eat.)

Lunch Date With Boyfriend – My Thai Kitchen

He promised me to write a review about this restaurant and he will also back track our weekly food trips and resto hopping.

Shopping With Him

More of window shopping but one shirt made him took his wallet out of his pocket. Haha. I even persuaded him to buy another one for himself. Haha. We’ve got a pair of ELMO shirt.

Meet Up With College Friend

Well, accidentally. 🙂 Yshel is a dear friend of mine and during this accidental bump meet up, I had the chance to introduce my boyfriend to my close friend and vice versa. Oh gosh, she changed a lot. I’d love to chat with her but I was on my way home and I’ve got 11PM shift later today.

My boyfriend told me that I must prioritize my health over my addiction. I said, “Fine”, with matching “rolling eyes”. Haha. You could imagine my sarcasm.

Magic Shopping

He’ll buy me the MTG cards that I need for my new deck. ^_^
